दत्त्वा हरति तद्भूयो जायते कृकलासकः । कुपितानप्रसाद्यैव पूज्यान्स्याच्छीर्षरोगवान्
dattvā harati tadbhūyo jāyate kṛkalāsakaḥ | kupitānaprasādyaiva pūjyānsyācchīrṣarogavān
Sesiapa yang telah memberi lalu mengambilnya kembali akan lahir sebagai cicak. Dan sesiapa yang tidak memohon perdamaian, hingga membiarkan yang patut dihormati murka, akan ditimpa penyakit di kepala.

Scene: A donor places a gift at a shrine then secretly takes it back; the karmic reflection shows a lizard clinging to a wall. Nearby, an elder remains displeased; the offender holds his head in pain.

Dāna must be steadfast and respectful; retracting gifts and ignoring reconciliation with the venerable leads to degradation and suffering.
