लोभान्मोहश्च माया च मानः स्तम्भः परेष्सुता । अविद्याऽप्रज्ञता चैव सर्वं लोभात्प्रवर्तते
lobhānmohaśca māyā ca mānaḥ stambhaḥ pareṣsutā | avidyā'prajñatā caiva sarvaṃ lobhātpravartate
Daripada tamak lahir kekeliruan dan tipu daya, kesombongan dan keangkuhan yang keras, permusuhan terhadap orang lain; kejahilan dan ketiadaan kebijaksanaan—sesungguhnya semuanya berpunca daripada tamak.
