Narrator (a sage/devotee) quoting the deity
Listener: Devṛṣi (the first-person narrator)
Scene: The radiant Lord addresses the seer with compassionate authority, hand raised in boon-giving gesture (varada-mudrā); the seer stands humbly, receiving divine speech.
Steady tapas performed with devotion ripens into divine grace, and the Lord responds as a compassionate giver of boons.
The immediate narrative context moves toward Kāmarūpa as the sacred locale where divine presence and worship are emphasized.
Tapas (austerity) and sustained ārādhana (propitiatory worship) are indicated as the means to obtain divine favor.
