Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 101
तत्रैकः कालसंयुक्तः शेषास्त्वागंतवः स्मृताः । ये त्विहागंतवः प्रोक्तास्ते प्रशाम्यन्ति भेषजैः
tatraikaḥ kālasaṃyuktaḥ śeṣāstvāgaṃtavaḥ smṛtāḥ | ye tvihāgaṃtavaḥ proktāste praśāmyanti bheṣajaiḥ
Dalam semua itu, hanya satu yang terikat dengan Kala (Waktu) dan tidak terelakkan; selebihnya dikenang sebagai ‘yang datang dari luar’ (adventitius). Yang disebut adventitius di sini dapat ditenteramkan dengan ubat-ubatan.
