Transliteration

eko vedaścatuṣpādaiḥ kriyate dvijahetave | itihāsapurāṇāni bhidyaṃte lokagauravāt

Translation

Veda yang satu dijadikan empat bahagian demi kepentingan golongan dvija (dua kali lahir). Dan Itihāsa serta Purāṇa juga diperincikan, demi kemuliaan dan bimbingan bagi dunia.
