संसदि व्रीडयाऽश्रुत्य आर्थिभ्यः प्रददाति च । प्रतिदीयते च यद्दानं व्रीडादानमिति श्रुतम्
saṃsadi vrīḍayā'śrutya ārthibhyaḥ pradadāti ca | pratidīyate ca yaddānaṃ vrīḍādānamiti śrutam
Sedekah yang diberikan kepada para pemohon di hadapan majlis kerana rasa malu (takut dicela), dan sedekah itu pula dibalas kembali—pemberian demikian dikenal sebagai ‘vrīḍā-dāna’ (sedekah kerana malu).
