वरुणात्पाशमादाय तेन बद्धा न्यपातयत् । महांकुशेन वायुं च चिरं मूर्ध्नि जघान सः
varuṇātpāśamādāya tena baddhā nyapātayat | mahāṃkuśena vāyuṃ ca ciraṃ mūrdhni jaghāna saḥ
Dia mengambil jerat Varuṇa, mengikatnya lalu menjatuhkannya. Dan dengan angkus besar, dia memukul kepala Vāyu berulang-ulang untuk waktu yang lama.

Scene: Tāraka whips out Varuṇa’s noose, ensnares Varuṇa and throws him down; then with a massive elephant-goad (aṅkuśa) he repeatedly strikes Vāyu’s head, the air itself rippling with each blow.
