ततः सर्वानपृच्छत्स कुलं कोऽपि न वेद तत् । ततो विष्णुरिदं प्राह पृछ्यंतेऽन्ये किमर्थतः
tataḥ sarvānapṛcchatsa kulaṃ ko'pi na veda tat | tato viṣṇuridaṃ prāha pṛchyaṃte'nye kimarthataḥ
Kemudian dia menyoal semua orang tentang keturunan (pengantin lelaki), namun tiada seorang pun mengetahuinya. Lalu Viṣṇu berkata, “Mengapa bertanya kepada yang lain—apakah tujuannya?”

Worldly categories like lineage cannot contain the Supreme; dharma’s social forms meet the transcendence of the Divine.
