एतस्मात्कारणाद्देवो दर्पितं तं ददाह तु । ततो दग्धे स्मरे चापि पार्वतीमपि व्रीतिताम्
etasmātkāraṇāddevo darpitaṃ taṃ dadāha tu | tato dagdhe smare cāpi pārvatīmapi vrītitām
Atas sebab inilah Dewa membakar si angkuh itu; dan tatkala Smara telah hangus, Pārvatī pun diliputi rasa malu.
