तदस्याः किमहं दद्मि रवेर्दीपमिवाल्पकः । संचिंत्येति महादेव्या नाशिषं दत्तवानहम्
tadasyāḥ kimahaṃ dadmi raverdīpamivālpakaḥ | saṃciṃtyeti mahādevyā nāśiṣaṃ dattavānaham
“Apakah yang dapat aku persembahkan kepadanya—bagaikan pelita kecil dipersembahkan kepada matahari?” Memikirkan demikian, aku tidak pun mengurniakan ‘berkat’ kepada Mahādevī.
