दुःखपारमपश्यंती प्राणांस्त्यक्तुं व्यवस्थिता । पुत्रं मे घोरदुःखस्य तारकं देहि चेत्कृपा
duḥkhapāramapaśyaṃtī prāṇāṃstyaktuṃ vyavasthitā | putraṃ me ghoraduḥkhasya tārakaṃ dehi cetkṛpā
Kerana tidak melihat tepian bagi lautan kesedihan ini, aku bertekad untuk menyerahkan nyawaku. Jika kamu mempunyai belas kasihan, kurniakanlah aku seorang putera—yang akan membawaku menyeberangi kedukaan yang dahsyat ini.
