कूर्म उवाच । चिरंतनो हि जानामि कर्त्तुमातिथ्यसत्क्रियाम् । अभ्यागतेष्वपचितिं धर्मशास्त्रेषु निश्चितम्

Transliteration

kūrma uvāca | ciraṃtano hi jānāmi karttumātithyasatkriyām | abhyāgateṣvapacitiṃ dharmaśāstreṣu niścitam

Translation

Kura-kura itu berkata: “Sesungguhnya aku sudah tua dan mengetahui benar cara melaksanakan penghormatan yang layak kepada tetamu. Sikap hormat kepada mereka yang datang sebagai tetamu telah ditetapkan dengan teguh dalam Dharma-śāstra.”
