शिवशब्दामृतास्वादः शिवार्चनकथाक्रमः । इति तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा देवदेवः पितामहः
śivaśabdāmṛtāsvādaḥ śivārcanakathākramaḥ | iti tadvacanaṃ śrutvā devadevaḥ pitāmahaḥ
Demikianlah Sanaka bertutur, mengecap nektar kata “Śiva” serta urutan kisah pemujaan kepada Śiva. Mendengar kata-kata itu, Pitāmaha—Sang Nenek Moyang, dewa bagi para dewa—(lalu menjawab).
