Sūta Gosvāmi (narrating the Purāṇic teaching to the sages, as typical for philosophical passages in the Umāsaṃhitā)
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Cosmic Event: cyclic manifestation likened to daily solar rising/setting
It teaches that even divine beings (devas) arise and withdraw cyclically like sunrise and sunset, pointing the seeker toward the timeless Lord (Pati) who alone stands beyond change and grants liberation.
The cyclical nature of gods and worlds implies that refuge in transient powers is limited; Linga-worship of Saguna Shiva is presented as devotion to the supreme source who regulates cycles and can lead the devotee from worldly order (dharma) to freedom (moksha).
Contemplate impermanence (yuga-cycles) while doing japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and maintaining Shiva-oriented disciplines such as vibhūti (Tripuṇḍra) and Rudrākṣa as supports for steady remembrance.
