Manifestation of Śiva’s Saṃhāra-Form

Cosmic Event: cosmic absorption of all lights into Śaṅkara (a pralaya-like microcosmic motif)
It declares Śiva as the unsurpassed source of all tejas (spiritual and cosmic radiance): even the brightest symbols like lightning and the moon are secondary, because all powers ultimately rest in and return to Śaṅkara, the supreme Pati.
In Linga worship, devotees approach the visible, worship-worthy form (saguṇa upāsanā) as the doorway to the truth that Śiva transcends all comparisons; the verse supports seeing the Linga as the axis where all energies and lights converge into the One Lord.
Meditate on Śiva as the inner Light into which all sensations and thoughts dissolve, while repeating the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya); in daily worship, apply Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as a reminder that all brilliance ends in Śiva and all returns to Him.
