गुणेनापिहितोपि त्वं गुणे व गुणान् विभो । स्वप्रदीपश्चकास्सि त्वं भूमन् गिरिश शंकर
guṇenāpihitopi tvaṃ guṇe va guṇān vibho | svapradīpaścakāssi tvaṃ bhūman giriśa śaṃkara
Wahai Tuhan Yang meliputi segala! Walau terlindung oleh guṇa, Engkau tetap Penguasa guṇa, bahkan dalam ranah guṇa itu sendiri. Bersinar sendiri dengan cahaya-Mu, hanya Engkau yang tampak gemilang—wahai Yang Tak Terbatas, wahai Girīśa, wahai Śaṅkara.
