शुक्रोत्पत्तिः तथा महेश्वरदर्शनम् (Śukra’s Emergence and the Vision of Maheśvara)
ईश्वर उवाच । भो भो दैत्येन्द्रतुष्टोऽस्मि दमेन नियमेन च । शौर्येण तव धैर्येण वरं वरय सुव्रत
īśvara uvāca | bho bho daityendratuṣṭo'smi damena niyamena ca | śauryeṇa tava dhairyeṇa varaṃ varaya suvrata
Īśvara (Tuhan Śiva) bersabda: “Wahai penguasa perkasa kaum Daitya! Aku berkenan akan pengendalian diri dan amalan disiplinmu, juga akan keberanian serta keteguhan hatimu. Wahai insan yang bernazar mulia—pilihlah suatu anugerah; pohonlah anugerah.”
