द्वन्द्वयुद्धवर्णनम् / Description of the Duel-Combats
एवं बभूव तत्रैव कार्तिकेयनिशुंभयोः । आहवो हि महान्व्यास वीरशब्दं प्रगर्जतोः
evaṃ babhūva tatraiva kārtikeyaniśuṃbhayoḥ | āhavo hi mahānvyāsa vīraśabdaṃ pragarjatoḥ
Demikianlah, wahai Vyāsa yang agung, di tempat itu juga bangkitlah suatu pertempuran besar antara Kārtikeya dan Niśumbha, ketika kedua-duanya mengaumkan seruan kepahlawanan.
