(Devastuti) — Hymn/Praise of the Devas
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Tripurāntaka
Role: teaching
It highlights Shiva’s dharmic restraint: even when supremely powerful, he upholds propriety and moral order, refusing to destroy one whom he himself helped grow, while still ensuring that puṇya and auspicious balance are restored.
It reflects Saguna Shiva as the righteous Lord who governs the cosmos with compassion and lawfulness; Linga-worship similarly approaches Shiva as the stabilizing Pati who restores harmony when adharma rises.
Cultivate puṇya through Shaiva discipline—japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), wearing rudrākṣa, and applying tripuṇḍra—so one’s actions align with dharma rather than impulse.
