Description of Nārada’s Delusion
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva

Role: teaching
Offering: pushpa
It teaches udāsīnatā (inner detachment) joined with bhakti: the wise live without clinging and interpret all events as governed by Śiva’s all-pervading will, which steadies the mind and supports liberation.
By emphasizing śivastuti (praise), it aligns with Saguna devotion—approaching Śiva through worship and hymn—while the insight “all is by Śiva’s will” points to His supreme lordship beyond limited forms, a core Shaiva Siddhanta orientation.
Regular Śiva-stuti and japa with surrender (śaraṇāgati)—such as repeating the Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” while contemplating that outcomes rest in Śiva-icchā—cultivates detachment and devotion.
