Suta Goswami (narrating Shiva Purana teachings to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pasha
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: A dharma-nīti maxim embedded in the narrative; no specific liṅga-sthala is invoked.
It teaches that dharma and inner purity are higher than mere lineage or social pride; protecting the family’s righteous path is preferable to tolerating adharma that increases bondage (pāśa) and suffering.
Linga-worship in the Shiva Purana emphasizes cleansing conduct and intention; honoring Saguna Shiva is not only ritual but also removing corrupt tendencies that dishonor dharma—otherwise worship becomes outward without transformation.
Adopt daily Shaiva discipline—japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and wearing Tripuṇḍra/Bhasma as reminders to renounce harmful conduct and cultivate sattva in the household.
