Melihat pada diriku hanya sedikit keinginan akan seorang suami, Śambhu menegurku; dan Sang Mahāyogin itu berkali-kali mencela aku dan kamu semua.
Sati (addressing her attendants/companions while narrating Shiva’s response)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
The verse highlights Shiva as Mahāyogī who rejects even subtle ego-driven desire, guiding the seeker toward purity of intention, detachment (vairāgya), and devotion that seeks Shiva as Pati—the liberating Lord—rather than worldly gratification.
Linga worship trains the mind to move from personal craving to reverent surrender: Saguna Shiva corrects the devotee’s motives, so the heart becomes fit to worship the Linga not as a means for pleasures, but as a doorway to inner stillness and grace.
Practice japa of the Panchākṣarī mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a vow of restraint, meditate on Shiva as Mahāyogī, and adopt simple Shaiva observances like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as reminders to subdue desire and stabilize the mind.
