संध्याचरित्रवर्णनम् (Sandhyā-caritra-varṇana) — “Account of Sandhyā’s Story”
मानसेषु च पुत्रेषु गतेषु स्वस्वधामसु । संध्या कुत्र गता सा च ब्रह्मपुत्री पितृप्रसूः
mānaseṣu ca putreṣu gateṣu svasvadhāmasu | saṃdhyā kutra gatā sā ca brahmaputrī pitṛprasūḥ
Apabila putera-putera yang lahir dari minda telah berangkat ke kediaman masing-masing, Brahmā pun tertanya-tanya: “Ke manakah Sandhyā pergi—dia puteri Brahmā dan ibu para Pitṛ (roh leluhur)?”

The verse highlights cosmic order (ṛta) and dharma: even divine lineages have roles and appointed abodes, and the disappearance of Sandhyā—linked to time-junctions and ritual rhythm—signals a disruption that must be understood and restored within the sacred narrative.
Though Shiva is not named here, the Sati Khanda frames creation and governance as ultimately upheld by Pati (Shiva). Such narrative moments prepare the ground for turning from mere genealogy to devotion and refuge in Saguna Shiva, whose grace stabilizes dharma when cosmic harmony is disturbed.
The mention of the Pitṛs points to honoring ancestral dharma: perform pitṛ-tarpaṇa with purity at appropriate sandhyā-times, and accompany daily Sandhyā-vandana or japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” to align personal discipline with cosmic order.
