Consolation of the Devas and the Ordinance of Consequences in the Dakṣa-Yajña Episode
Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
The verse teaches a Shaiva karmic principle: hostility toward the Supreme (Shiva, the Pati) rebounds upon the hater. True welfare arises from reverence and surrender, not from egoic rivalry or contempt.
In the Daksha-yajna narrative, ritual pride rejects Shiva’s supremacy. Linga/Saguna-Shiva worship trains the mind in humility and devotion, preventing the dveṣa (hatred) and aparādha (offense) that cause spiritual downfall.
Replace resentment with Shiva-bhakti: daily Panchakshara japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a repentant, non-hostile mind; optionally accompanied by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrāksha as reminders of surrender to Shiva.
