देवस्तुतिः—शिवस्य परब्रह्मत्वं, मायाशक्तिः, कर्मफलप्रदातृत्वं च
Devas’ Hymn: Śiva as Parabrahman, Māyā-Śakti, and Giver of Karmic Fruits
इत्युक्त्वा सप्रजेशश्च रमेशश्च कृतांजलिः । दंडवत्पतितो भूमौ क्षमापयितुमुद्यतः
ityuktvā saprajeśaśca rameśaśca kṛtāṃjaliḥ | daṃḍavatpatito bhūmau kṣamāpayitumudyataḥ
Setelah berkata demikian, Prajāpati (Dakṣa) dan Rameśa, dengan kedua telapak tangan dirapatkan penuh hormat, rebah sujud ke bumi seperti sebatang tongkat, bersungguh-sungguh memohon keampunan.

Tattva Level: pashu
It highlights śaraṇāgati (surrender) expressed through añjali and daṇḍavat-pranāma, showing that humility and sincere repentance prepare the soul (paśu) to receive Shiva’s grace (anugraha) and loosen the bonds of impurity and ego.
Even in Saguna worship—approaching Shiva as the compassionate Lord—inner reverence must be embodied outwardly through respectful gestures like folded hands and prostration; such devotion aligns the worshipper to receive pardon and auspiciousness from the Lord represented by the Liṅga.
Perform daṇḍavat-pranāma with mental confession and a prayer for forgiveness, then repeat the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with a resolve to abandon ego and offense.
