व्योमवाणी-श्रवणं, गणानां शरणागमनं, सती-दाह-वृत्तान्तः — Hearing the Heavenly Voice; The Gaṇas Seek Refuge; Account of Satī’s Self-Immolation

तद्यज्ञे ध्वंसितुं वेगात्सन्नद्धास्तु भयावहाः । तिरस्कृता हि भृगुणा स्वप्रभावाद्विरोधिना

tadyajñe dhvaṃsituṃ vegātsannaddhāstu bhayāvahāḥ | tiraskṛtā hi bhṛguṇā svaprabhāvādvirodhinā

Untuk memusnahkan korban suci itu, mereka meluru dengan sangat pantas, lengkap bersenjata dan menggerunkan. Kerana mereka telah dihina oleh Bhṛgu, yang dengan kuasanya sendiri menjadi suatu kekuatan yang menentang.
