कामशापानुग्रहः (Kāmaśāpānugraha) — “The Curse and Grace Concerning Kāma”
सोमपा आज्यपा नाम्ना तथैवान्ये सुकालिनः । हविष्मंतस्तु तास्सर्वे कव्यवाहाः प्रकीर्तिताः
somapā ājyapā nāmnā tathaivānye sukālinaḥ | haviṣmaṃtastu tāssarve kavyavāhāḥ prakīrtitāḥ
Mereka dinamakan Somapā dan Ājyapā; dan ada pula yang lain yang datang tepat pada waktunya, membawa keberkatan menurut musim yang ditetapkan. Kesemua mereka, sebagai pemegang havis—persembahan korban suci—termashyur sebagai Kavyavāha, iaitu para pembawa persembahan kepada para Pitṛ, leluhur yang dimuliakan.

The verse highlights the dharmic order by which offerings are properly transmitted—especially to the Pitṛs—showing that right ritual action (performed in proper time) supports harmony in the worlds, which Shaiva tradition treats as a preparatory purifier for devotion to Pati (Shiva).
In the Shiva Purana’s ritual worldview, honoring devas and Pitṛs through ordained offerings complements Saguna Shiva worship: the devotee maintains dharma and purity, then directs the fruit of such acts toward Shiva-bhakti and liberation under Shiva’s grace.
It implies performing pitṛ-kārya—such as tarpaṇa and śrāddha—with proper timing and sanctified havis; as a Shaiva takeaway, one may offer the act’s merit to Shiva while repeating the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) in a steady, sattvic mind.
