Setelah berkata demikian, resi Dadhīci pun berangkat seorang diri. Dari gelanggang yajña milik Dakṣa, beliau segera kembali ke pertapaannya sendiri.

Dadhīci’s solitary and swift departure highlights vairāgya (detachment) and discernment: when ritual space is colored by ego and disrespect to Śiva, a wise seeker withdraws and returns to a life rooted in tapas and inner purity rather than outward display.
In the Dakṣa-yajña context, the text contrasts mere sacrificial formalism with true Śaiva devotion. Turning away from a yajña that lacks reverence for Śiva points to the primacy of sincere Saguna worship (Śiva as the adored Lord) over prideful ritual that forgets the Pati (Lord) who grants grace.
The practical takeaway is to prioritize śuddhi and japa over show: withdraw from harmful company, return to one’s “āśrama” (steady discipline), and practice Panchākṣarī japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with humility; if performing rituals, do so with Śiva-bhakti rather than social prestige.
