Satī’s Address to Śiva
ब्रह्मोवाच । कदाचिदथ दक्षस्य तनया जलदागमे । कैलासक्ष्माभृतः प्राह प्रस्थस्थं वृषभध्वजम्
brahmovāca | kadācidatha dakṣasya tanayā jaladāgame | kailāsakṣmābhṛtaḥ prāha prasthasthaṃ vṛṣabhadhvajam
Brahmā berkata: Pada suatu ketika, tatkala musim hujan mula tiba, puteri Dakṣa (Satī) berkata kepada Tuhan yang berpanji Lembu (Śiva), yang sedang bersiap untuk berangkat dari Gunung Kailāsa, gunung yang seakan-akan memikul bumi.
