Lord Shiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: nurturing
This verse highlights Shiva’s lokahita (universal compassion): though transcendent, he willingly abides in an accessible, worship-worthy presence for the good of all beings, showing the Siddhānta emphasis on grace (anugraha).
By declaring he will remain ‘established on the altar,’ Shiva affirms a manifest, worship-accessible mode (saguṇa/arcā-availability) through which devotees can approach the transcendent Lord via sacred space, rite, and devotion.
It supports altar-centered worship: establish a clean worship space, invoke Shiva with mantra-japa (especially the Pañcākṣarī, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and perform pūjā with a sense of lokahita—praying for the welfare of all.
