Viṣṇu’s Hymn and the Petition for Śiva–Satī’s Protection

It highlights the Shaiva principle of reverent surrender: even Viṣṇu rises and offers añjali to Śiva, affirming Śiva’s lordship (Pati) and the devotee’s humility as the doorway to grace.
The verse models Saguna-bhakti—approaching Śiva personally with respect and devotion—an attitude that directly supports Linga worship, where the devotee honors Śiva’s accessible form while remembering his transcendence.
Practice añjali-bhāva (folded-hands reverence) before Śiva—especially during japa of “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—cultivating humility and attentiveness as the inner offering.
