Hymn to Devī Yogānidrā and the Manifestation of Caṇḍikā
Brahmā (instructing the Goddess/Śivā regarding her descent as Satī)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: liberating
The verse highlights the divine will by which Śakti assumes a manifest (saguṇa) form to unite with Śiva, showing that cosmic harmony and liberation-oriented dharma unfold through the purposeful descent of the Goddess.
By emphasizing a chosen “form” that enchants Hara, the verse supports saguṇa-upāsanā—approaching Śiva through accessible manifestations. In Śaiva practice, this complements Liṅga worship, where the formless (nirguṇa) truth is honored through a sacred form.
A practical takeaway is to cultivate saguṇa-bhakti with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and reverent worship of Śiva (often via the Liṅga), contemplating Śiva–Śakti unity as the ground of grace.
