Departure and Lament in Separation
सर्वाश्च रुरुदुर्नार्य्यस्सर्वमासीदचेतनम् । स्वयं रुरोद योगीशो गच्छन्कोन्य परः प्रभुः
sarvāśca rurudurnāryyassarvamāsīdacetanam | svayaṃ ruroda yogīśo gacchankonya paraḥ prabhuḥ
Semua wanita menangis, dan segala-galanya seakan tidak sedar. Bahkan Tuhan para yogin sendiri pun menangis ketika berangkat pergi—siapakah lagi Penguasa Tertinggi seumpama-Nya?

The verse highlights Śiva’s supreme compassion: though the transcendent Yogīśvara is beyond grief, He participates in the world’s emotions to uplift devotees, intensifying bhakti through the pain of separation (viraha).
It supports Saguna-upāsanā: devotees relate to Śiva as a personal Lord who responds to devotion. In Linga worship, this same compassionate Pati is approached through a tangible form while remaining inwardly supreme and untouched.
Practice viraha-bhakti with japa of the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and steady meditation on Śiva as Yogīśvara, letting emotion turn into surrender rather than despair.
