Departure and Lament in Separation
यशस्यं स्वर्ग्यमायुष्यं पुत्रपौत्रकरम्परम् । सर्वकामप्रदं चेह भुक्तिदं मुक्तिदं सदा
yaśasyaṃ svargyamāyuṣyaṃ putrapautrakaramparam | sarvakāmapradaṃ ceha bhuktidaṃ muktidaṃ sadā
Ia mengurniakan kemasyhuran, menganugerahkan syurga dan memanjangkan usia; serta menghadirkan zuriat yang mulia—anak dan cucu berketurutan. Di dunia ini juga ia menunaikan segala hajat, sentiasa memberi kenikmatan duniawi dan pembebasan muktī.

The verse summarizes the phala (fruit) of Shiva-oriented devotion: Shiva’s grace can perfect dharma and prosperity (fame, longevity, lineage) while also culminating in moksha, showing that liberation is the highest and lasting gift.
Such “bhukti and mukti” promises are classically connected with Saguna Shiva worship—especially Linga-sevā, vrata, and mantra-japa—where the devotee approaches Shiva with attributes and receives both worldly well-being and the inward purification that leads to realization of the Supreme.
A practical takeaway is steady Shiva-upāsanā: daily Panchākṣarī japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), Linga-abhiṣeka, and vrata observance (notably Mahāśivarātri), undertaken with devotion and ethical discipline to obtain bhukti and mature toward mukti.
