brahmovāca | iti dharmavacaḥ śrutvā vijahāsa maheśvaraḥ | dadarśa kṛpayā dṛṣṭyā talpamujjhāñcakāra ha
Brahmā berkata: Setelah mendengar kata-kata Dharma demikian, Mahēśvara tersenyum. Lalu, dengan pandangan penuh belas kasih, Tuhan Yang Agung meninggalkan pembaringan dan bangkit berdiri.
Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: liberating
It highlights Śiva as Pati (the gracious Lord) whose response to dharmic counsel is not harsh judgment but compassionate awareness—grace (anugraha) guiding right action.
The verse portrays Saguna Śiva—personally responsive, smiling, and compassionate. In Liṅga-worship, devotees contemplate this same anugraha: the Lord’s merciful glance that uplifts and reorients conduct toward dharma.
A simple takeaway is to meditate on Śiva’s “kṛpā-dṛṣṭi” (compassionate gaze) while repeating the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), cultivating calm restraint and readiness to rise into dharmic action.
