Dāna
इत्थं निवृत्ते विधिवद्याज्ञे वैवाहिके शिवः । ब्रह्मणे पूर्णपात्रं मे ददौ लोककृते प्रभुः
itthaṃ nivṛtte vidhivadyājñe vaivāhike śivaḥ | brahmaṇe pūrṇapātraṃ me dadau lokakṛte prabhuḥ
Apabila yajña perkahwinan itu demikian disempurnakan menurut tata-aturan, Tuhan Śiva—Penguasa yang bertindak demi kesejahteraan segala alam—memberikan kepada Brahmā, bagi pihakku, sebuah bejana yang penuh sempurna sebagai hadiah persembahan.

It presents Śiva as loka-kṛt—one who acts for the welfare of all beings—showing that even divine līlā is aligned with dharma: rites done with proper vidhi culminate in dāna (sacred gifting), which purifies intention and supports cosmic order.
Though the scene is the divine marriage, the focus is Saguna Śiva as the gracious Lord who receives and completes ritual action and then sanctifies it through offering and gifting—mirroring how devotees worship the Liṅga with upacāras and conclude with prasāda and dāna as an extension of Śiva’s grace.
The verse points to completing worship properly (vidhivat) and sealing it with dāna/offerings; a practical takeaway is to conclude Śiva-pūjā or Mahāśivarātri vrata with a humble donation and distribution of prasāda while maintaining japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”).
