Dāna
जाह्नव्युवाच । स्वर्णकांतिकरां धृत्वा केशान्मार्जय योषितः । कामिन्यास्स्वामिसौभाग्यसुखं नातः परं भवेत्
jāhnavyuvāca | svarṇakāṃtikarāṃ dhṛtvā keśānmārjaya yoṣitaḥ | kāminyāssvāmisaubhāgyasukhaṃ nātaḥ paraṃ bhavet
Jāhnavī berkata: “Dengan memegang tangan berkilau keemasan (seperti sikat atau hiasan emas), seorang wanita hendaklah menyisir dan membersihkan rambutnya. Bagi isteri yang dikasihi, tiada kebahagiaan yang lebih tinggi daripada tuah dan kesejahteraan suami serta keredaannya.”

In the Shiva Purana’s ethos, outer cleanliness and auspicious household order complement Saguna Shiva worship (pūjā, vrata, temple service). Harmonious domestic life is treated as supportive ground for regular Shiva-upāsanā rather than a separate goal.
The verse suggests a vrata-like discipline of personal cleanliness and grooming as an auspicious observance; while it does not mention bhasma, rudrākṣa, or mantra directly, it aligns with the broader Shaiva practice of maintaining purity before daily worship.
