अध्याय ४९ — विवाहानुष्ठाने ब्रह्मणः काममोहः
Brahmā’s Enchantment by Desire during the Wedding Rites
अथाकर्ण्य नुतिं शुद्धां मम दीनतया तदा । विष्ण्वादीनाञ्च सर्वेषां प्रसन्नोऽभून्महेश्वरः
athākarṇya nutiṃ śuddhāṃ mama dīnatayā tadā | viṣṇvādīnāñca sarveṣāṃ prasanno'bhūnmaheśvaraḥ
Kemudian, setelah mendengar pujian yang suci itu—dipersembahkan olehku dengan kerendahan hati, dan juga oleh semua dewa bermula dengan Viṣṇu—Maheśvara (Śiva) menjadi berkenan dan tersenyum penuh rahmat.

It highlights that Śiva is moved by śuddha-bhakti—pure praise joined with humility—showing that divine grace (prasāda) arises when the devotee’s ego softens and devotion becomes sincere.
The verse reflects Saguna-upāsanā: approaching Maheśvara through audible stuti and reverent surrender. In Liṅga worship, such pure praise and prayer are central offerings that invite Śiva’s prasannatā (gracious acceptance).
Offer a śiva-stuti with humility—ideally alongside japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and simple pūjā (water, bilva leaves, and sincere prayer), focusing on inner surrender rather than display.
