मेनायाः क्रोध-विलापः — Menā’s Lament and Reproach

स एवेदृक्सुरूपेणावतीर्णो निजलीलया । शिवातपः प्रभावाद्धि तव द्वारि समागतः
sa evedṛksurūpeṇāvatīrṇo nijalīlayā | śivātapaḥ prabhāvāddhi tava dvāri samāgataḥ
Dia sendiri, dengan rupa yang demikian indah, telah turun menjelma melalui lila Ilahi-Nya; sesungguhnya, oleh daya tapa Śiva, Dia telah datang ke pintumu sendiri.

It teaches that Śiva, though transcendent, becomes accessible in a gracious, perceivable (saguṇa) form through līlā when devotion and Śiva-oriented tapas mature—His grace can arrive “at the door” of the devotee’s life.
The verse highlights saguṇa manifestation: the same Supreme Śiva who is worshipped as the Liṅga (a stable, merciful presence for upāsanā) can also ‘descend’ in a specific form, responding to disciplined worship, mantra, and reverence.
Śiva-tapas: steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), observance of vrata (especially Mahāśivarātri), and purity practices like Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa—performed with humility—are implied as means that invite Śiva’s grace.
