Devas’ Hymn, Nandikeśvara’s Petition, and Śiva’s Rising from Samādhi
Pārvatī (instructing/encouraging the devas in the narrative context of Pārvatīkhaṇḍa)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It teaches that the seemingly impossible becomes attainable through sustained tapas—discipline rooted in unwavering steadiness and higher purpose—leading the seeker toward Shiva’s grace and liberation.
Tapas here supports Saguna Shiva-upāsanā: disciplined worship and inner restraint purify the devotee, making the heart fit to receive Shiva’s presence—whether contemplated as the Linga or as the compassionate Lord with attributes.
A steady vow of daily japa and worship—especially Panchākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—performed with restraint (tapas), optionally supported by Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as aids to focus and Shaiva identity.
