तत्समीपे च देवाथ पार्वती स्वसखीयुता । सेवमाना तिष्ठतीति पित्राज्ञप्ता मया श्रुतम्
tatsamīpe ca devātha pārvatī svasakhīyutā | sevamānā tiṣṭhatīti pitrājñaptā mayā śrutam
Di sisi Baginda, wahai yang mulia, Pārvatī—bersama para sahabatnya—berdiri menanti, berkhidmat dan menyembah. Demikianlah yang aku dengar, disampaikan kepadaku sebagai titah ayahandanya.

Sthala Purana: The Himālaya setting evokes Śiva’s mountain-abode; Pārvatī’s devoted attendance near the tapasvin Lord mirrors the Kedāra ideal of approaching Śiva through service, endurance, and proximity to the sacred mountain presence.
Significance: Model of sevā-bhakti: serving and staying near the Lord is itself a means of inner purification and readiness for Śiva’s grace.

The verse highlights bhakti expressed as sevā (reverent service). In a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, such humble attendance refines the soul (paśu), loosening bonds (pāśa) and turning the heart toward Pati—Shiva—through disciplined devotion.
Serving and standing in attendance reflects saguna-upāsanā—devotion to Shiva with form and attributes—where worship is embodied through presence, service, and reverence, the same spirit that underlies Linga-pūjā (offering, attendance, and steadfastness).
The takeaway is sevā with steadiness: daily Shiva worship with simple, consistent service—cleaning the shrine, offering water, and japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—performed with humility like an attendant before the Lord.
