(Cāṇḍālī-sadgati-varṇanam) — “Account of the Cāṇḍālī’s Attainment of a Good Destiny”
Wahai tuan, mohon kisahkan riwayatnya.”
The sages (ṛṣis) at Naimiṣāraṇya
Tattva Level: pashu
It shows the sages honoring Sūta as an exemplary Śaiva and opens a devotion-centered narrative where spiritual worth is measured by Śiva-bhakti and grace rather than social identity.
As Kotirudrasaṃhitā emphasizes pilgrimage and devotion to Śiva’s manifest forms (including Jyotirliṅgas), the sages’ request signals a concrete, story-based teaching on how Saguna Śiva responds to sincere devotion.
The verse primarily encourages śravaṇa (devotional listening) of Śiva-kathā as a practice; such listening is traditionally paired with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and reverent worship of Śiva.
