Kemudian raja para Daitya yang tersesat itu, setelah dihina oleh gadis yang ramping itu, menyala dengan murka yang mengerikan, lalu sesudahnya memperlihatkan kepadanya suatu rupa yang menakutkan.

It highlights how moha (delusion) and krodha (anger) arise when ego is wounded; in Shaiva Siddhanta these are pasha—bondages that veil the soul from Shiva’s grace and lead the asuric being toward further downfall.
The verse contrasts frightening, ego-driven displays of power with the stabilizing refuge of Saguna Shiva worship (Linga-upasana), where devotion disciplines passions like anger and turns the mind toward Shiva rather than reactive violence.
A practical takeaway is krodha-nigraha through japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and mindful restraint; calming the mind before worship helps prevent tamasic reactions from dominating one’s actions.
