Mahākāla Jyotirliṅga Māhātmya: The Episode of King Candrasena and the Cintāmaṇi
hāheti dūyamānaṃ taṃ nirbhartsya svasutaṃ ca sā | punarviveśa svagṛhaṃ gopī krodhasamanvitā
Sambil berseru “Aduhai!
Suta Goswami (narrating to the sages at Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Mantra: hā hā (ākranda)
The verse highlights how krodha (anger) and śoka (grief) disturb the mind; Shaiva teaching emphasizes śuddhi (inner purification) so the devotee can turn from reactive emotion toward Shiva-bhakti and steadiness.
Though the line is narrative, it contrasts worldly agitation with the calm sought in Saguna Shiva worship—approaching the Linga with restraint, humility, and a purified mind rather than anger.
A practical takeaway is japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to pacify krodha, along with simple mental śānti (calming) before Linga-darśana or pūjā.
