चित्तं मम यथा देव बोध्योऽस्मि कृपया तव । कृपातस्तव देवेश दृढज्ञानी भवा म्यहम्
cittaṃ mama yathā deva bodhyo'smi kṛpayā tava | kṛpātastava deveśa dṛḍhajñānī bhavā myaham
Wahai Deva, semoga fikiranku menjadi layak untuk dibangunkan oleh rahmat-Mu. Wahai Tuhan para dewa, dengan belas kasih-Mu semoga aku menjadi teguh bersemadi dalam pengetahuan rohani yang tidak goyah.

Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
It declares that true awakening (bodha) and firm spiritual knowledge arise primarily through Shiva’s grace (kṛpā), which purifies and makes the mind fit for realization—central to the Shaiva Siddhanta emphasis on Pati (Shiva) as the liberating Lord.
By addressing Shiva as Deva and Deveśa, the verse supports Saguna devotion—prayerful surrender to the worshipful Lord (often approached through the Linga)—so that the devotee’s mind is refined and stabilized in knowledge bestowed by His compassion.
A direct practice is grace-centered japa and meditation—especially Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya)—offered with humility, along with Shaiva disciplines like bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as aids to steadiness of mind and devotion.
