It teaches that ignorance (ajñāna) produces doubt (saṃśaya), which poisons spiritual progress; removing doubt makes the seeker fit to receive the fruit of Śiva’s highest non-dual realization and liberation.
Saguna worship (such as Linga-pūjā) purifies the mind and steadies devotion, helping uproot doubt; that purified ground then supports the dawning of Śiva-advaita—recognizing the Supreme Pati beyond limiting notions.
Regular japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” coupled with steady dhyāna and scriptural reflection to remove saṃśaya, is the implied practice for uprooting ignorance-born doubt.
