Exposition of the Supreme Method of Creation and the Tirodhāna-Cakra
Suta Goswami (narrating the Kailasha Samhita teachings to the sages, summarizing Shiva’s cosmic functions)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: creative
Cosmic Event: simultaneity of pañcakṛtya even during saṃhāra (transcendent governance)
It affirms Shiva (Rudra) as the supreme Pati whose sovereignty is not limited by cosmic cycles: even when everything is dissolved, His power to manifest, sustain, withdraw, conceal, and bestow grace remains inherent and absolute.
The Linga symbolizes Shiva as the unchanging ground of all change; this verse supports Saguna worship by showing that the Lord actively governs the cosmos through His functions, while remaining transcendently present even in dissolution.
Meditate on Shiva as the doer of the five acts (pañcakṛtya) while chanting the Panchakshara—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to internalize that His grace (anugraha) alone liberates the bound soul (paśu) from pāśa.
