Sukta 1.143
यमेरिरे भृगवो विश्ववेदसं नाभा पृथिव्या भुवनस्य मज्मना । अग्निं तं गीर्भिर्हिनुहि स्व आ दमे य एको वस्वो वरुणो न राजति ॥
yam āīrire bhṛgavo viśvavedasaṃ nābhā pṛthivyā bhuvanasya majmanā | agniṃ taṃ gīrbhir hinuhi sva ā dame ya eko vasvo varuṇo na rājati ||
Agni yang dibangkitkan oleh para Bhṛgu—yang mengetahui segala—yang menjadi pusat bumi dan, dengan kebesaran, pusat alam: doronglah dia dengan nyanyian pujianmu ke dalam kediamanmu sendiri. Dialah sahaja yang memerintah atas kekayaan, seperti Varuṇa yang berdaulat luas—penjaga ṛta (tatanan).
