The Slaying of Kumbhakarna
पातयन्निवसर्वेषांहृदयनिवनौकसाम् ।प्रहस्यविकृतंभीमंसमेघस्न्तितोपमम् ।।।।कुम्भकर्णोमहातेजाराघवंवाक्यमब्रवीत् ।
pātayann iva sarveṣāṃ hṛdayāni vanaukasām | prahasy vikṛtaṃ bhīmaṃ sameghastanitopamam || kumbhakarṇo mahātejā rāghavaṃ vākyam abravīt ||
Sambil tertawa ngeri dengan tawa yang hodoh dan dahsyat, suaranya bagaikan guruh awan—seolah-olah meruntuhkan hati para penghuni rimba—Kumbhakarṇa yang berteja besar pun berkata kepada Rāghava.
