Lalu Baginda mengangkat busur yang laksana ular, bertali tegang dan kukuh, garang lagi indah berkilau emas; setelah menenangkan para Vānara, Rāma pun melompat maju, dengan tabung panah terikat, sarat anak panah pilihan.
Rama, taking a formidable bow which resembled a great serpent, with a quiver full of excellent arrows shining in gold that looked beautiful, went forward restoring the confidence of the monkeys.
Dharma is protective action joined with compassion: Rama advances to fight, but first steadies and reassures those overwhelmed by fear.
Rama arms himself and moves to confront the powerful enemy, while restoring the confidence of the Vanara forces.
Compassionate valor—strength used in service of truth and protection, not for rage or display.
